Anti-Social Motorbikes |

Dear Resident,
Thank you for taking the local priority survey recently, we note that you highlighted E-Scooters/nuisance motorcycles in the survey so we wanted to provide you with an update on this local matter.
The Community Safety Unit is aware of incidents involving mechanically propelled (electric & petrol) motorbikes being driven in an anti-social and dangerous manner: 📞 - If you witness any such behaviour that poses an immediate danger, please call 999 without delay. 💻- If the incident is discovered after the fact, please report it online via the Kent Police website. https://www.kent.police.uk Where possible, include 📸 images or 🎥 video footage of the offence. This evidence is vital, especially as many offenders attempt to conceal their identity and often do not display registration plates. Your reports and submissions help us identify those responsible and take appropriate action to keep our communities safe. Tackling antisocial behaviour can be a complex issue, and one which requires input and action from more than just the police.
🏍️ Several offending vehicles have already been seized by police, and we will continue to remove these from the roads when we have sufficient evidence of dangerous or anti-social behaviour.
February 2025 saw the publication of the Ministry of Justice Crime and Policing Bill: Antisocial behaviour (ASB) factsheet. This outlined a number of new measures including making powers to seize vehicles under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002 easier to use, allowing the police to react robustly and immediately to the anti-social use of motor vehicles.
🕵️♂️ Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
📢 We will continue to provide you with updates regarding this and any other issues you raise in the local priority survey. The feedback you provide influences the priorities we focus on and enables updates you receive to be more relevant. Please look out for our periodic survey reminders to update your issues and priorities, it really helps. ✅
⭐You may also want to rate this message to let us know if this information was useful or not or use the system to change which issues we update you about. You can do these things quickly and easily by logging in or keep an eye out for the periodic survey reminders.
Kind Regards Harry
